Cocoa and Chai Spice Latte
My latte just took an interesting turn! This latte combines espresso with a homemade syrup flavored with cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger, as well as creamy dark chocolate oat foam. It’s the kind of drink that makes you want to slow down and savor every sip.
Chai spice syrup only takes a few minutes to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for future use. When combined with Oatbox’s Barista Oat Drink and Intense Dark Chocolate Creamer, it makes a smooth, slightly spiced latte with just the right amount of chocolate. It’s a perfect combination for cooler days!

Good to know
- For an even more flavorful chai spice syrup, let the spices steep for an additional 10 to 15 minutes off the heat before straining.
- For a smoother syrup, I recommend using cinnamon sticks instead of ground cinnamon. If you use ground cinnamon, a light sediment will naturally form at the bottom of the container.
- Chai spice syrup will keep for up to two weeks in the refrigerator in a clean, airtight container. You can also freeze it in small portions so you always have some on hand.
- To make an iced version, pour the espresso and syrup into a glass filled with ice cubes. Then, add the oat milk and dark chocolate creamer without heating them.
