Tuna Tostadas

Here’s the perfect recipe for entertaining! This recipe is really quite simple, but impresses every time. All you need is some good tuna steak, a few ingredients and a crunchy tostadas!

I chose to serve my tostadas with my quick homemade salsa verde, but you can also use store-bought.

Tuna Tostadas
Ingredients

Tuna

  • 300 g sushi-grade red tuna, cubed
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) Sriracha hot sauce
  • Zest of 1 lime, well washed
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
  • Pepper, to taste

Tostadas

  • 4 tostadas
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) mayonnaise
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) finely sliced radishes (I like to marinate them for 15 minutes in white vinegar)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup (5 g) fresh coriander leaves
  • Homemade or store-bought salsa verde(see recipe)

  • In a bowl, combine all the tuna ingredients.

Tostadas

  • Spread a little mayonnaise on each tostada. Add cucumbers, radishes, a little tuna, green onions, cilantro and salsa verde!
