Spicy Peanut Butter Silken Tofu

I recently had a fixation on a silken tofu recipe that I absolutely had to try. I’ve finally tried it and can confirm that it’s as good as it looks. This silken tofu with peanut butter sauce is the perfect savoury snack, taking only 10 minutes to make!

Spicy Peanut Butter Silken Tofu
Ingredients

Peanut Butter Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) gochujang or sriracha
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoons (15 ml) water (or 2 tablespoons for a thinner sauce)

Assembly

  • 1 300 g block silken tofu
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) finely chopped fresh coriander
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) chili crisp (spicy Asian condiment)

Preparation

Peanut Butter Sauce

  • In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients.

Assembly

  • Place the tofu block on a plate and pour the sauce over it. Add toppings and enjoy!
