Air Fryer Carrots and Chili Mayonnaise

The perfect appetizer recipe!
These super crispy carrots are fun to eat and really easy to make! I use chili powder to season them, but the choice of spice is yours!

Air Fryer Carrots and Chili Mayonnaise
Ingredients

Carrots

 

  • 3 medium carrots, cut into sticks
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) flour
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) plant milk
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) oregano
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) salt
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) fresh parsley

Chili Mayonnaise

 

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon (15 mL) lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) chili powder
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons (10 mL) honey

Preparation

Carrots

  • Place the carrot sticks in a bowl and heat in the microwave for 3 minutes to soften them.
  • In a first bowl, combine the flour and milk. In a second bowl, combine breadcrumbs, oregano, chili powder and salt.
  • Take turns dipping the carrots in the flour-milk mixture, draining lightly, then pressing them well into the breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 400°F and place the carrots in the basket, taking care not to overload them. Cook the carrots for 12 minutes, turning halfway through. Repeat for remaining carrots.

Chili Mayonnaise

  • In a small bowl, combine all mayo ingredients. Serve with carrots and fresh parsley.
