Preparation
Radish and Tomato Salsa
- In a small bowl, combine all salsa ingredients. Leave to rest for 15 minutes.
Hot Dogs
- Insert a wooden stick into a sausage. Using a sharp knife, make a spiral incision along the length of the sausage. Carefully remove the wooden stick.
- In a hot pan, grill the sausages for about 5 minutes, turning them a few times.
- Spread mayonnaise on the outside of the buns and toast in the pan for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Place the sausages in the buns and serve with your choice of condiments and the radish and tomato salsa.
Note
- If you’d like to use vegetarian sausages for this recipe, there’s no need to make the spiral. Having tried it with a veggie sausage, it doesn’t give the desired effect.
